Verde at La Mandolata

Verde is a lovely two bedroom ground floor villa. It is comfortably decorated and well laid out providing privacy for all occupants.
On entering there is a small hall off which there is a spacious living area with large sofa. In one corner is a large wardrobe and a wooden dining table with four chairs. Two windows provide plenty of light. The room is paved with terracotta tiles and has the traditional Tuscan ceiling of wooden beams and terracotta.
To one side of the living area is a narrow kitchen with window. The room is furnished with modern open fittings. There is a small fridge with tiny freezer compartment, 4 gas hobs, a microwave with oven. It is equipped simply but has all necessary items.
To the other side of the living area is one of the bedrooms, it's entered by passing through a little hall where there is an open wardrobe and access to the large bathroom with shower. The bedroom itself is furnished with a double bed and tv. There are doors to the terrace outside which is furnished with a table and chairs, it overlooks the pool area.
The second bedroom is off the entrance hall, it is a smaller room and has a double bed and tv. It also has doors to a terrace where there is a table with chairs and view of the back garden and pool. There is no wardrobe but the one in the living room can be used. There is a small bathroom with shower also off the hall.
The double beds cannot be made into twins.

Verde at La Mandolata

La Mandolata is a wonderful property of 5 apartments located in the Versiglia, a lovely coastal area of Tuscany. From here it is possible to walk to the beach, which is about 1km away.
The pool is to one side of the building. It is surrounded by a paved area dotted with sun-bed ideal for soaking up the warm sun. It is a smallish pool, perfect to cool off.
La Mandolata is well positioned just a short walk to shops and restaurants. The property is an old farmhouse restored to a high standard and with modern touches that work well with the typical Tuscan characteristics of the building.
The pretty gardens are of white gravel and lawns dotted with fruit trees. Pampas grass and bamboo are used for hedging giving a modern look to the property that compliments the old Tuscan farmhouse. There is a communal terrace furnished with tables and chairs on which the owners can serve breakfast if requested.
Pool Info
The smallish pool is perfect for a cooling dip after a day at the beach or of sight-seeing. It is surrounded by a lovely terracotta paved sundeck dotted with sun-beds and umbrella.
To one side are a couple of small typical beach huts that can be used to change. From this area of La Mandolata there are views of the Carrara hills with their white marble.
The pool is fenced and has metal steps entering it.
It is open from May to October and is 12x6 metres, and 1.1 to 1.8 metres deep.

In Camaiore Lido there is a wide choice of shops, restaurants and other amenities. The nearest grocery shop and restaurant to La Mandolata is about 500metres away, while a larger supermarket is 2km away.

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
