Casa Greta at Casa Greta
Location address: Pianella - Siena
The property is on the ground floor of this two storey building, the owners live in the upstairs apartment, and are on hand to answer any queries you may have.
The entrance is via a covered terrace and opens into a lovely open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen area to the left with fridge/freezer, cooker, washing machine and a wooden dining table and chairs to one side.
To the right of the room is the comfortable lounge area with sofa and armchairs arranged around a large feature open fireplace for which wood is provided. There are terracotta tiled floors and the traditional Tuscan beamed and tiled ceilings throughout the villa.
To the left of the fireplace is a door leading to the first twin bedded room with ensuite bathroom with bath and hand held shower. This room also has the unusual addition of a built in wardrobe with reclaimed stable doors. Set into the floor is a small glass viewing point through which you can see the original cellar below the house.
A small corridor to the left of the lounge leads to the remaining two bedrooms. The first is on the left and is the second twin bedroom which has lovely matching wooden beds. Across the corridor is a bathroom with shower, basin and W.C.
Both of the twin bedrooms can be made into doubles, however, you must advise us if this is required at the time of booking, otherwise the configuration will be as described. The master bedroom is at the end of the hallway and has a charming double four poster bed and an ensuite bathroom with bath and hand held shower.
Outside there is an attractive private garden and large covered terrace with dining table and chairs, perfect for those ‘al fresco’ meals, or relaxing with a glass of the local wine. Sitting here you again have fantastic views over the surrounding countryside.
There are fantastic views of the countryside from the private terrace and garden.
The pool is not totally private, but occasionally used by the owners family.

Parts of this attractive stone villa date back to medieval times, and the owners have sympathetically restored the older parts as well as adding further rooms to the property in keeping with the traditional Tuscan style. The result of this hard work has made Casa Greta a very warm welcoming place to stay.
The villa is set in a stunning location with fantastic views over the surrounding Tuscan countryside. The swimming pool is in a private location within the mature grounds of the villa which has been attractively planted with Mediterranean trees and shrubs. Relaxing poolside you have an excellent position to gaze at the wonderful scenery surrounding you.
Pool Info
The pool is set in the private grounds of the villa and is party walled on one side. Rectangular in shape it has a paved surround furnished with sun loungers. Access to the refreshing waters is via a step ladder and there is also a diving board at the deep end.
The pool is not totally private, but occasionally used by the owners family.
The swimming pool measures 10 metres x 5 metres with a depth of 1.2 metres increasing to 2.5 metres at the deepest point. The pool is open from May until September.
Nearest town
There is a village with a restaurant 1.5km away from Enima. About 3km away there is the village Pianella where there is a grocery shop. The best town for shops and restaurant is Siena which is 8km away.

Quelle est votre impression générale concernant l'hébergement? Très bonne ! Un peu rustique, une des 3 salle de bain ; odeurs nauséabondes ! Mais dans l'ensemble ; vraiment une très bonne semaine , avec des propriétaires très discrets ! Et quel paysage !
Avez vous eu de mauvaises surprises? A l'arrivée ; vous devriez revoir le descriptif auto routier pour arriver jusque au domaine Le bruit dans la cheminée ; mais vite réparé Grace a vous !

To have a folder in the villa with information on local places to visit and recommendations of restaurants to try 2. To have a sign on the gate to show it is Casa Greta - there are 3 houses all together and it isn't clear when you arrive which is Casa Greta

I like To Tuscany, partly because it has a tremendous range of villas, and partly because (unlike many companies) it has an excellent website that provides what you really want when choosing a villa.

Our accommodation, which cost less than £800 for the week, is in a converted stone farmhouse next to a 12th Century Franciscan chapel. There is a pergola shaded by vines round the back here we quickly settle into a rhythm of eating long pasta suppers while the shadows lengthen.
